The front porch is really coming along with the pergola structure all finished and awaiting the trellis to be installed on top. The interior is also progressing well, with most of the painting finished and the kitchen cabinets partially installed. We are waiting for the arrival of the butcher block counter which will also wrap around the sides of the island. We are using an oak butcher block which will be treated with a food safe butchers wax to protect it. To control the lighting through the renovated portion of the house we choose to go with the VERVE Living System lighting controls because of their ease of programing, affordability and switch locations flexibility (since the switches are not hard wired they can be located anywhere). The switches generate their own power when you click them so there is no need for batteries like the older remote switches. I have specified the VERVE system in past projects and it has received very positive reviews from both the end user and the electrician installing it.
