William Lescaze House and Office

Two nights ago I was walking down East 48th Street to meet a friend for dinner and drinks when I caught a glimpse of a modern townhouse across the street.  I right away recognized it as the William Lescaze House and Office.  It happens to be for sale or rent (I am still not sure which) and from what I could glean from the internet the price is a hefty $14 Million or $17,000/month.  The house was landmarked by NY LPC way back in 1976 and there much written about since so I will just refer you to them.

  1. Hello! I happen to know the Lescaze house in Tuxedo Park NY will be offered for private sale soon. The house, built for Alfred Loomis, has 11 acres of land. I believe the asking price is about US$ 2million. Tuxedo Park is a short train ride from Manhattan. This is a good deal less expensive to own a Lescaze house than the Manhattan property.
