Visualizing the World’s Food Consumption | Prepared by Food Service Warehouse

Visualizing the World’s Food Consumption | Prepared by Food Service Warehouse.  I love infographics so I thought I’d share with you something I found on FastCoDesign today.  It is a very interesting look at caloric intake and cost of good in a select 40 countries.  Of course the US is #1 in calories consumed and has the lowest food cost around.  But as we also know has the highest rate of obesity at 37% of the population.  I guess we drive more walk less and eat more processed food then most other people. I had recently read that while Japan has moved closer to the western food model in the last twenty years they have also increased their life expectancy to close to 83 years (about 4+ years more then the US).
