The Ledge on Chicago’s Sears Tower

I have recently read on J. Mark Souther’s American Tourism Book blog about The Ledge and low and behold today I came across photos of it. It must be an incredible experience to stand hundreds of feet above Chicago and look out over the city.  I guess it is not for people with vertigo but even the average person will get noodle legs from being there.  If you are visiting Chicago now you will just have to go and see this modern spectacle.

All of you who have been there do give us your personal impression of standing in mid air.

  1. Thank you for mentioning the book in your blog post. I really appreciate it, and I like the images you found of the Ledge. I’ve been to the top of the tower but that was before this particular attraction was added.
