News Flash – Burbs Going Bust

As you might know by now I love info graphics and what better than infographics which deal with the built environment.  Today ArchDaily did this great piece about the  Infographic: The Decline of Suburbia | ArchDaily.  There is much to be digested here so happy reading.

  1. Thanks for sharing. I wish someone would tell Clevelanders this. Cleveland continues to bleed population to the exurbs. Although downtown can’t build housing fast enough to meet demand, virtually everything between 1 and 10 miles from downtown is in slow or steep decline. I live in an inner-ring, early 20th-century suburb that is almost urban. It’s a great place to live (except ridiculous property taxes if you’re a homeowner), but it continues to lose population to the exurbs. One day, if we can hold on, things may yet change – even in Cleveland!
