This is a book about one of the greatest architectural photographers of the 20th Century and besides both of us being Hungarian we have one other connection. The first house I designed and built was photographed for Progressive Architecture by a young photographer who had apprenticed under Balthazar. I was all of twenty four and Timothy Hursley the photographer not much older. We spent two days shooting the house designed for the art historian Robert Hobbs and Tim told me quite a few stories about Balthazar. Do take a look at the article which contains some great shots. 4 | A Stunning Survey Of Pics By Eero Saarinens In-House Photog | Co.Design: business + innovation + design.
